The extra step that CUE-Support takes is very important
The necessary equipment is used for all this work. For advice on, and purchase of, that equipment, CUE-Support has been a regular partner for many years. The collaboration with Roger Creemers goes back a long time. “I’ve known Roger for a long time. When he was still employed and went to another company, we went with him because he has a lot of professional knowledge. When Roger started CUE-Support, we went with him again because of that knowledge and fine cooperation,” Robin explained.
Thinking along
Robin also really likes that CUE-Support thinks with him when he is about to purchase something new. According to him, what makes sense for him and his colleagues is always carefully considered. “That goes beyond saying, ‘I have these products and they cost so much.'” Thereby, the cost to the AV producer is very important. “We work with tax money, because we are a government agency. When we purchase something, it weighs on the hospital’s budget. So we want to handle that responsibly. It’s very nice that Roger thinks along in that.”
A good example is the purchase of a Gimbal, a stabilizer for the camera, which Robin purchased through CUE-Support. He himself had already looked on marketplace, as a new one would cost between 3000-5000 euros. That was quite an investment for the hospital, given its occupancy rate. Robin presented his situation to CUE-Support. Roger went to watch. “He said, ‘I have another customer who has a Gimbal sitting around, I’ll go inquire for you.’ Through Roger, we were eventually able to purchase one for 900 euros. I don’t think he made much from it, but he helped us tremendously with it.”
CUE-Support then also supported in choosing a new camera for the Gimbal. Robin thus had a complete system for 3000 euros while new it might have bought 6500 euros. “This amount was justifiable for us. We ourselves have occasionally resold or traded in AV equipment through Roger. That flexibility is heartening.”
Knowledge and support
Besides thinking along, Robin is also very appreciative of CUE-support’s knowledge and support. Once a technician himself, he worked for several companies that sold audiovisual equipment, and the insider knowledge he has makes him an especially discerning customer. “There are several companies that can provide what CUE provides, but they don’t meet our requirements. CUE-Support goes beyond moving boxes,” Robin refers to the service. “In particular, the extra step taken when a problem arises is very important.”
Confidence in CUE-Support is high after years of cooperation. Someone from CUE-Support visits the hospital on a regular basis. If something needs to be installed, Robin is happy to watch. “Even then I’m critical. I can imagine that sometimes it is difficult when there is someone looking over your shoulder, but they can handle that well. If they advise that things can be done better in a different way, then there is that confidence that it will work out. Sometimes it takes some getting used to, but afterwards I think: that is indeed a nicer or better way. There is mutual respect for each other’s knowledge. I have confidence in the people of CUE-Support and in what they do. That is very important and a good basis for a pleasant cooperation for many years to come.”
